The rotors aren't the problem (though now that they are corroded they need attention). It's the calipers that engage and disengage brake pads against the rotors in order to slow the car. If they're not engaging, then it must take considerable time to stop. You say you took it to a mechanic. What did he say the problem was? Anyway, like I said, it's the calipers, not the rotors. -- christian '85 900
