Subject: Re: SAAB 9-5 - Wind Noise - Tyre Boom???

Mick, just a throught, though not quite accurate to the 9-5 - I had an NG900 Turbo which was very noisy with Bridgestones on. I then swapped them all out for a full set of P6000's and not only noticed better handling, but raod noise dropped by a substantial margin. I currently have Michelin Pilots on my 9-3 Comvertible, which need changing shortly, and thought I would likewise move that to P6000s. As far as my local dealer is concerned, they agree that the Michelins last longer, but at the expense of handling and noise, whereas the P6000s seem to be quiter. I know that only refers to the smaller cars, but I wouldn't be suprised if it's the same for the 9-5.... Hope this helps, H.
