The traction control will kick in on turns or hard acceleration, but it is unobtrusive and pain-free. It just feels as if the car has lost about 50 hp until you let up on the gas. A good set of rain-specilfic tires would be a good idea. You could work a deal with the salesman to swap them or just wait until you wear out the originals. Dunlop SP9000s would be a good choice, IMHO. You definitely need winter tires if you drive in more than a dusting of snow. Or leave the car in the garage and take a cab on the really bad days. You should not be exposing your baby to those conditions anyway ;) I only have 11,500 miles on my car, but other than a couple of issues that were corrected promptly by the dealer, it has been fault free and a joy to own. I plan on keeping the car for 10 or more years. I will buy an extended warranty, though. It is an expensive car to repair.
