Subject: Re: 9000 vs. 9-5

I've just moved from a 9000CS to a 9-5. The interior of the 9-5 feels more cosy and not as dated. The 9000 seats are a LOT better!!! I'm also finding the 9-5 a bit soft and wallowy when going over bumps. The 9000 seems a harder ride but more confident, even though the 9-5 can corner faster -probably cos of the fatter tyres- it seems to roll more and be less assured. I think the 9-5 is very mainstream and a was a bit disappointing, not giving the expected huge increase in ride and handling that the press raved about with the "night and day" comparision in favour of the 9-5, just goes to show how under-rated the 9000 was.
