Subject: Re: Clarion amp for 1993 Saab 900T stereo - part number is 40-83-051 If you are not afraid of splicing wires, just about any 2 channel amp should work in place of the Saab unit. The best thing would be to make sure that it fits under the ABS module, though. There are a few c900's here locally (Cowlumbus, OH) in junk yards to get the knick knack stuff. Depending on where you are, you may want to check around. Look for a pull your own yard, though these are vanishing. The amp is common to '92 and '93 on the C900 and may also be common to the 9k, but I do not know. Does the '93 have a passenger side heater switch (temp regulated 3 position)? My '92 does not nor is there any place in the dash for it. According to the Bentley, it should be an automatic seat with a pressure switch and the old style thermo switch. The ones with a seat heater switch for the passenger side have a hole in the dash opposite the driver side one. I have seen a few European ones with this. If you do need this controller, they are the same in the 9k's as well. Surf to and look at the links. Great source of info.
