Sorry everyone, a bit of impromptu bike talk here. I'll keep it brief. Danny, Affordable. Indeed it was. If I remember rightly, the CZ (mine was two-tone green) was £288 on the road in '74 or '75. Even in those days it was really good value, though I really wanted a Yamaha 200 Electric. A couple of years later I saved up and bought a Yamaha RD 400 at about £690. I still have a 1959 Velocette Venom 499cc single - fires once every lamp post. It's in many bits in the garage and hasn't run for over 20 years. I must get round to putting it back together one day. I confess that I don't remember the Honda CJ250. Was it a single? The CB250 twin was very common. Any other ex-biker Saab owners out there?
