Subject: Re: 9-3 owner info?

I agree with everything John says, below. I just leased a 2002 9-3 SE LOADED (I have every single option available) for a total lease price of US $25,750. I paid nothing down, didn't have a trade-in because I sold it the day prior, left the dealership (VOB SAAB in Rockville, MD) paying only $400 security deposit and first month's payment. Total monthly payment? $399.99/month for 48 months with 15,000 miles/year allowable and totally free scheduled maintenance for 36 months included. If there is a better deal on a better car anywhere else on earth, take it. I've driven this car now for the past two weeks and can say that I am in absolute love with it. I had scoped out the BMW 328i and 330i, the VW Passat GLX, the Mercedes C230 and the Audi A4. Not only were each of those cars more expensive with FAR fewer options, but none of them drove as well as the SAAB in my opinion. What I notice most negatively is the way the steering wheel consistently pulls to the right on steady highway driving. I'm beginning to wonder whether or not I need a front-end alignment! (When driving on a straight highway at approx. 60mph, I have to hold the wheel slightly to the right in order to go straight). The dealership says that's normal "because of the curvature of the road," but I've never experienced that in any other vehicle. At my one-month check-up I'm going to have the service manager drive it to confirm. Other than that, you CAN NOT go wrong with this vehicle! It has made my 1hr 15 minute commute seem more like 45 minutes, if that makes any sense. I wouldn't rather be driving anything else. To piggyback on John's quote: "Hello. My name is Tim and I love my SAAB 9-3."
