Subject: 2001 9-3 drive train whine?

Car has 15,000km on it. At 70kmp/h I could here a slight whine from somewhere in the auto/drivetrain. Didn't matter which gear, and only between about 65 and 75kmp/h, and only under load. SAAB dealer kindly re-placed the whole auto trans today (at considerable expense to them or SAAB Sweden?). Anyway, the same whiney noise is still there but only just noticeable. Definitely better than before, however I'm thinking it can't have been the auto at all. Perhaps when they changed tranys, they lubed up something else or the alignment with the drive shafts is slightly different, hence a lesser noise..or whatever?? Any thoughts, surely not all 9-3 autos produce a very slight whine at this speed (about 40mp/h I imagine)? Davo
