Subject: Aftermarket vs. OEM?



I'm getting ready to have a couple of maintenance issues taken care of,
and I was hoping to save some money, but quality is very important to me.
The two things I need are front brake pads and a rear muffler.

Is there an aftermarket brake pad that is of comparable quality to OEM
Saab?

Is there any real reason to use a proprietary Saab rear muffler instead of
going to the exhaust shop down the street and having them throw a generic
one on?
