I checked out the car today. Funny you should mention the A/C. It doesn't work. The owner was quite surprised. I don't think she knew there was a problem. Here is what I found out about the car. - The body has NO rust or bubbles, that I could see. - There is a hard-to-notice dent in the passenger door. - The original leather driver's seat was replaced with another that was slightly lighter. It was then dyed to match the other seat. However the dye or whatever they used is starting to crack and it looks bad. - The A/C compressor does not engage. I don't know why. - The dashboard has a couple cracks. - The headliner is NOT drooping (!) - The slider switch that resumes the cruise control will not move. - It has nearly new tires. - There is some oil around the valve cover. - It has 3 spoke SPG alloy wheels. - Comes with 4 spare snow tires on alloy wheels. - The engine block is red. - Clutch does not seem to be too worn. - Turbo seems ok, I guess. I have a couple questions: What is the most common cause of the A/C compressor not engaging? Are the 3 spoke wheels standard for this year and model? If not, what do the standard wheels look like? I suspect the standard wheels are on the snow tires. If so, I'll put those back on the car and sell the SPGs. Are they worth much? Why is the engine block red? Does it come that way from the factory? I might offer $2800. What are your thoughts. Thanks Saab lovers!
