:> for a clarion CD changer to fits Saab 900/9000 '92-'98 try this site

: I am also looking for such a CD changer for the SID2 system installed
: in my '96 900S. The link you gave seems great but there are two Clarion
: units listed: CDC628 (109.99ukp) and CDC655Tz (159.99ukp). I would
: obviously like to get the cheaper one as the latter only seems to
: provide extra 'CD Text' which I don't think SID2 can cater for anyway.
: But are both fully compatible with SAAB's SID system?
I may be wrong, but I'd thought that the Clarion models ending in 'z' were
not compatible. Make sure that the changer is "C-Bus" and not "CeNet".
: Also, there has been some talk previously of a lead that should arrive
: in the left side of the boot where the multichanger should be placed.
: I can't see one without destroying the carpet. Has anybody any tricks
: to first ensire one is there before I start taking thing up (ie. are
: /all/ 900 post-94 models fitted with these leads)?
I had to cut a slit in the carpet to get at it. it tends to be way back in
there. If you can reach back under the carpet you should find a couple of
wires zip-tied together. One of those should be the changer cable.
