Oh, it is also possible that the pedal switches could cause this. When it is functioning, try giggling the pedals and see if it clicks off repeatedly with this. If so, you can 'adjust' the pedal switches by grabbing the plunger (while standing on your head) and pulling it out until it clicks a few times. Now, when you depress the pedals, and release them, they will readjust.
