Paul, Ouch! I think that much of that will be labour. Stepper motors aren't all that expensive. I would be tempted to D.I.Y., get the motor out and take it to a little back street windings expert to be breathed on. If it came to more than $80 I'd be surprised, but will cost you some of your own time of course.
