Subject: Vibration in 900 T16S

Since I picked up my 1988 T16S, I've been noticing vibration at reasonably high speeds. All seems smooth enough up to around 70mph, but at 80+, it feels a little like I'm driving over cobbles. The vibration seems to affect the entire car, i.e. it's not just the steering wheel; the whole chassis seems to be vibrating. This evening I eliminated the engine and the transmission; I was getting consistent vibration on a smooth road at 80mph, whether I was in fourth of fifth gear, and I tried coasting out of gear for a little while, and there was no difference. That's except if you're a police officer. In that case, the vibration's happening at 70mph, officer. Honest. Now, I don't exactly know a lot about cars, but I've had the tracking and the wheel balancing checked (it was out, but it's fine now) and that didn't make a difference, so I'm guessing it's the wheel bearings? Can anyone think of anything else it could be? And if it is the wheel bearings, does anyone know roughly how much replacements should cost in the UK?
