Well, actually if you just filed it off, the raw metal on the pins is =
very
prone to oxidation. I'm not sure how hot that connection gets, but
depending on temperature conditions I would try either the Caig Labs
DeOxit D-5 or ProGold GXL on the contacts after you clean it to protect
the surfaces.
