Great info and you are right, my VIN is older than that and a convertible SE Turbo. So, my only choice is an aftermarket. Do you have any recommendations that would integrate with the existing standard alarm, or does the old unit have to be completely replaced with a new alarm? Oh by the way, a friend of mine at work has a SAAB 900 Convertible 93 or 94 (non turbo) and it has keyless remote entry.
