The leak was on under side of a small : diameter pipe from the manifold, apparently carrying a vacuum signal to a sensor. : The pipe was spilt at the end, but the split was hidden from view. I only found : it by carefully listening for noises. I cut off an inch of the pipe and refittet. : No more fluctuating idle. Maybe I'll do some more thorough investigation, then.
