I think most on this group favor the 4 cyl.

I know they changed the taillights at some point between '95 and '98, but
I don't know what year specifically. I don't think they did much else up
until they changed the bumpers and the grille with the 9-3.
In '97 they changed the ABS so that the rear wheels are controlled
independently instead of as a pair.
There are other changes that I'm not aware of.
