Well...the 4 is a solid design with timing chains, the 6 is a GM design with timing belts, lower power per cubic inch, and more moving parts to go wrong. A friend of mine who is a Saab master mechanic won't consider buying the 6... Not saying the 6 is crap, but it's not anywhere near the engine the 4 is, and was more of a marketing solution than a technical one. Dave --
