Yes, that's just right. Here's the plan; I have a friend who has a machine which can make any shape out of various resins / plastics, and I'm planning to send this to him to find out if he can make it out of something that resembles polished aluminum. The goal here is to be able to reproduce that part for restorations. I have no clue at all if he can do it, and if he can how much it will cost per unit, but having the artwork to start from makes life a lot easier. If this ends up going somewhere, I might order a bunch. In the first run, I figure I'll have him do 5; I think two would look good on my 9-5, at the bottoms of the front fenders just in front of the doors.
