Subject: Saab 9000 low oil pressure - what next?

Reference my previous post where I told about the oil pressure light coming on, I've researched the problem further and am now stuck: Removed oil pump - seemed OK - some very light scoring Removed oil pressure relief valve - same as above. Changed oil filter. Blew down oil pickup and could hear oil bubbling in sump - so strainer ok? turned engine over with pump cover off, pump rotates OK. Reassembled with new filter and then turned engine over with DI cassette unplugged. Removed oil filter - dry as a bone. So, either the pump is not picking up oil or is not pumping, as the next place the oil goes is the filter, which isn't receiving any oil. Help! Any ideas? -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) http://www.dannyscoffee.com (UK advert for my mobile espresso service) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
