That would be the depreciation you speak of. Since Saabs are less common and viewed as a little "oddball", the used price drops faster. If you plan to keep the car a few years, then it'll even out in the end. If you plan to sell in a few years, I'd look at a 2 or 3 year old Saab coming off lease instead and let someone else pay for the depreciation. Saabs like this are usually like new, come with the factory 4/50 warranty, and are a great deal. In terms of comparison... have you driven both cars ? The Saab commercial "those who test drive a Saab usually buy one" is true. The measure of a Saab is when you feel the boost come on and push it around a few curves. Also, Saabs are much more stable at high speeds than a car like a VW, although the VW is most likely more nimble at low speeds. Don't be fooled, take a fast drive to see. Bob
