The microphone in the car isn't connected to anyting other than the connector for the handsfree kit. For the 9-3 you buy the adapter kit with part number 400 109 179. For the 9-5 you buy the adapter kit with part number 400 108 130. The kit should be delivered with instructions on how to connect the adapter to your handsfree kit. If you prefer the microphone that came with the handsfree kit then use that one and ignore the microphone wires from the adapter kit. Saab used to sell adapter kits that already had all the connectors needed for Ericsson handsfree kits, but this adapter type is no longer listed in the catalogs. -- G–ran Larsson http://www.nospam.com
