well i think i corrected it. the motors are all okay. but one of the = front window switches didn't sound like the rest of them when i = depressed it. so i took that switch apart again and examined the = mechanism closely. there are two kinked metal "rockers" with = electrical connector "pads at each end that alternately close or open a = circuit (for the two motor directions) when the switch is pressed. the = mid-point supports for the "rockers" were pushed down, probably from too = much pressure on the switch, and both ends of both rockers were in = closed circuit position at the same time. i'm no electrical whiz, but i = figured if i made sure that one side was closed only when the other side = was open, it shouldn't short out. so i used a set of pliers to raise = the midpoint supports a tad and put the switch back together and - no = more blown fuse! the switch sounds the same as the others now. (did that all make sense?) about 15 minutes work. abdallah "Ken Washington" <kenwashinopsamhlink.net> wrote in message = news:3D09C245.1AE37BC5nopsamhlink.net... : The motors are one thing, but if the cable that moves through it is : binding that is another.
