ONLY to get the car out of heavy snow, not for normal winter driving.
ALWAYS inflate tires according to the manufacturer's spec.
Underinflated tires are the number one cause of tire failure, and I just
read an article which said over 1,000 people die each year directly as a
result of accidents caused by low tire pressure causing tire blow outs.
Again, the rim size makes NO difference, in regards to traction in snow, the
only factor is the rubber compound in the tire.
Forget rim size, forget tire size, focus on buying a quality winter
tire -that's all that matters :-)
