Any ways... That is not necessarily true, when I got my 85 900, it had been sitting for over two years in my god-mother's driveway and had several issues related to the extended sit. Once the two major problems, which were a leaky steering rack and bad coil & distributor, were fixed the thing ran great and only had to go in for regular maintenance + wear and tear stuff: i.e. oil, annual tune-ups, breaks at 30k mi, tires at 50k mi and the like.
