Uhhh.. most cars that I know of will go 100k miles plus.. Any ways.. Saab has always been concerned about safety.. and, yes, a newer car will be more safe do to advancing technology and increasing standards. So, what it breaks down to is the reliability factor of a 900/9000 versus a 9-3/9-5.. the 900/9000 series was kinda iffy. People will disagree, say that they love 'em, which is true.. but thats because they are used to taking their car in every so often to make it run right. I got pulled into this for awhile. Any ways... I STRONGLY SUGGEST from a reliability issue buying the most recent model you can afford.. and.. a 9-3 or 9-5 at that. Seriously. If you don't believe me.. look at a Consumer Reports book on the older models..
