instead of the pin use a paper clip (you need something strong to push) straight up one end of paper clip and insert it in the hole then use the coiled up part as a handle to push UP, and then once you see the cover poping up, use finger nail or tip of letter opener (not to sharp of object) to lift the cover. hope this help .
