Subject: Weird SID Problem



My SID display (MPG) has started doing weird things, it seems to change
every 5 seconds.  It will start at about 27.0 MPG and then goes up 0.1 every
5 seconds until it gets to about 38.0MPG and then starts to go down again
!!.  (Temperature and DTE display seem OK.)

I had recently jet washed the car and was wondering if water has got in
somewhere ? if so where should I be looking ?

Any ideas much appreciated.
