If Saab says you have to change the belts at 60K, and they failed at 72K, it's hard to justify even considering a lawsuit. As far as getting Saab to pay for it as a goodwill gesture - I've had great luck with that in the past, but the reason they extend those offers is to keep a good customer. If someone goes in talking about lawsuits, I can see how Saab might just consider that customer to be not worth trying to keep. Way I see it, it wasn't properly maintained, and something broke well after the warranty expired. Seems pretty clear-cut to me. Dave Hinz
