I had the same problem 1/2 year ago :) I asked my SAAB dealer about disabling the side Airbag and they told me that it was impossible to disable and that the child seat should allways be in the back seat. So, we've mounted it there. As someone said here, it's better because that way you won't be distracted. Pedro PS: as for the travell system, until recently we used a rear facing baby car seat (Eliossimo by BebeComfort); now we are using a front facing baby seat with multiple regulations and 5-point seatbelt (ISEOS by BebeComfort).
