Subject: 94 9000 Aero boost problems

I'm hoping someone can give me some difinitive information here. I've got a 94 9000 Aero 5 spd. Under load the boost is oscillating in and out of the red. I'm leaning toward a faulty APC Valve/Soleniod, but would like to get some more info before I drop $200 on one. I was told that I can check the valve by checking continuity between the center pin on the valve to either of the outside pins, and that I should obtain a reading of 350 Ohms. Is this accurate? If so that's where the problem lies since I am reading 3 Ohms. Should the valve click by setting the ingnition to run? If I wanted to funx check the valve with power applied, is the 12V on the center and GND on the outsides or vice versa? Thanx in advance, Chris
