Thanks to all who replied. As I said I've just bought the car with 33K miles on it but last owner missed the service at 30k so I believe warranty is invalid. Fortunately I've now been told by supplier that it will be repaired at no cost to me. How have Saab got away with this? It seems EVERY 9-5 has this fail and even replacements fail very quickly from what I'm reading on websites!! Thanks again, John
