Sounds pretty similar to how a classic 900 behaves under the same type of circumstances. More than several times, I generated enough boost to blow the ducting off of the high-pressure side of the turbo (eventually replaced that hose clamp). The problem is that it's pulling in air that the air-mass meter hasn't measured, which as you found screws up the fuel:air ratio and runs really, really bad. > Does anyone know what the"worst-case" scenario or impact on the engine could > be from this experience? Anything to examine or keep an eye on? Thanks. I can't think of any long-term effects whatsoever from something like this, unless your engine ingested a foreign body while the hose was off. That, however, you'd have known right away. My personal opinion - nothing to be stressed about, at all. > -- > J.E. Harris > '01 9-3 SE > '97 900 SE > '88 9000T R.I.P.
