: Just curious as to what the consensus in on the v-6 versus the 4-cyl
: specifically the lower horsepower four? Thanks.
The V-6 has a timing belt instead of a chain, and that means a lot of
maintenance. Luckily I think the dealership will take care of this for
free even out of warranty because of the frequency with which it needs to
be done.
The V-6 is also less fuel efficient than the four, and for a mere extra
25hp, I just don't think it's worth the trouble of owning. I'd also be
curious as to how the lifespan of the V compares with that of the more
traditional Saab 4-cylinders.
