Subject: Clutch judder

Are NG900's prone to clutch judder? I recently purchased a '97 2.3XS Talladega with 77K miles on the clock. I love this car but after a few weeks it has started to develop a irritating judder when pulling off from stationary. When on the move, all other gears are fine with no selection problems. The dealer assures me that the clutch was fully replaced before I purchased the car (all other jobs I asked to be done were carried out). Should I doubt him? Could there be any other reason for this judder? I've moved from a '91 9000CSE which seems to have had a much nicer gearbox - unlike the 900 which seems less precise. Is this a characteristic or another alarm bell? Any advice? Please help me enjoy this car even more :^) Boez
