Subject: Please help: My used CD changer wasn't "divorced"

I recently bought a used CD changer for my 1999 9-3. I'm sure it's the correct unit. After installation it still remains locked, even though the Tech 2 tool showed, when it was first connected, that it is already "married". Divorcing and remarrying (while the changer remains in my car) still doesn't activate it. This leads me to believe that the person I bought the changer from did not "divorce" it properly before removing it from his car. My question: Is there any way to marry the unit to my car without first taking it back to the seller for it to be divorced from his car? I certainly hope so since the seller is on the other side of the continent. Thanks in advance! Scott Henry
