In my case, it's the other way around - my wife's Dodge minivan had a crap transmission. Chrysler basically said "Gee, you're at 32,000 miles, which is more than 30,000 miles, so it sucks to be you. Bye now." The dealer ended up paying for most of the transmission because he wants to sell us another vehicle some day.
