Hi, I am currently looking at purchasing a second saab. This time a 9000 CD. This is a base model with a 2.3 non-turbo engine. It has 220,000km (about 145,000miles). The vehilce was serviced by the dealer most of it's life except for the last 2 years where it was done by local mechanics. The body is in good condition except for a minor scrape over the rear wheel arch. The heater does not work due to a leaky pipe being disconnected (according to the seller who says it's about a $US150 repair) and I noticed a steering wheel shake at low speeds. The engine is a lot noisier when starting than my newer 9-5 but seems o.k. otherwise. I also noticed a sticker saying the break fluid should have been changed 2 years ago, however this may have been done by the local mechanics. These are my only concerns. I can live with the fact that it is not a turbo. Do the problems warrant concern as the car is not expensive ? Regards, Paul P.
