It's a very easy beginner job. As you said, a plug socket is required. Other than that, just normal tools - in fact, you don't acually *need* and other tools, the leads pull off, the cap is held on with two clips, and the rotor arm (button) just pulls off. Best way is this. Get the new cap and sit it somewhere near the old one (which is still on the distributor). Get the orientation right - the cap can only go on one way. Put all the new leads on the new cap, so that you have the correct length lead on the correct terminal. Now take off the old cap, complete with leads. Put on the new cap, and attach the new leads to the plugs. -- Grunff
