Yes, it is possible. A guy I know took the saab system out and fitted a new head unit with a cd changer and md changer. To do that is a little bit harder than on most cars though, and I dont think there are standard brackets for it so there is a great deal of custom mounting going on. I am going to ask the guy to do a write up on how to do the installation because I am very much interested in doing it myself.
