If you only get a few days of snow, stick with summer tyres and just put a set of chains on when the snow falls. All modern chains or the new "studded claws" are easy to put on in 10-15 minutes. There is no way I would sacrifice the grip that a good summer tyre gives in the wet and dry for a few days of the white stuff. I regularly drive through the Alps in the winter and I have never got stuck using that system. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
