I think Mobil 1 comes in different types, it's not just one oil. But it is expensive. I use Halfords fully synthetic 5w/40 (a store brand), for my 9000 CSE LPT. It has the spec, ehh let me have a look... SJ/CF A3 B3 and change at 5000 miles. At that point the engine oil look quite black. I rather change more frequently than using, say Mobil 1 and change less frequently. I don't drive very hard, but blast off once a while just to check that car is OK which is definitely is. Still smooth and fast. My Saab garage would use Saab semi-synthetic oil if I asked them to change. Johannes
