Subject: 2002 Saab 9-3 AM Radio Noise

I've noticed that many people have posted problems concerning AM reception. I thought I would post what I have been experiencing and see if anyone has any suggestions. ( The Dealer has failed to fix the problem twice ) While Driving the vehicle, extensive static and poping noises can be heard on the AM Stations. Tapping the brake pedal causes the static to go away for a few seconds and then it reappears. Thinking it was something related to the gas pedal, I decided to keep my foot on the Gas Pedal and Tap the brake with my left foot. Sure enough, the Noise goes away for a few seconds and then comes back. The static does not Exist when the car is just parked with the radio on. ( I do not experience the problem parked with the headlights on like some people report that they do. ) Any information that you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your input/time! - Keith
