The fact that a rear end shunt has caused misalignment at the front of the car shows that the whole structure of the body has been distorted. It is possible to put the car on a 'jig' and pull it back into shape, but it will never be the same, once metal has been stretched, it will not go back to its original form. > > From talking to my insurers, the Saab is most likely to be an insurance > "total-loss", since it is more that 10 years old ... they just seem to write > them off anyway at that age. > With the sort of damage you describe, it would most likely be a write off if it was any more than a couple of years old.
