Dave: 1. That wasnt a private email. Im not sure how long you've been surfing around the net, but very often, companies, people, entities make public their official correspondence with other entities. I can think of many examples where websites have posted cease and desist orders from microsoft, or letters between them and their internet provider about the status of their broadband connection. People do it all the time. Not to mention, the 2 parties involved were saab.pintmaster.com and the saab network. As an entity, saab.pintmaster.com chose to make public correspondence that was never expressly deemed private. 2. The Saab Network does "suck" as you say. The point I want to make is that they have a great user base, but as a website are not providing those users with the infrastructure deserved. They may have been their first, but that doesnt mean they are better. 3. Im not sure how much you have been following this thread, but I will summarize what happened. 1. I posted an original message on saabnet asking if there was a place dedicated to modding saab 9-3s. (no response). 2. I figured, well then I should start one. 3. I hastily threw together a message board and then posted a message on saabnet telling people about it. 3. Said message was removed and I was sent an email or something saying what I had done wrong. 4. I corrected my error by making a direct link back to saabnet on the front page of my website. 5. I tried to make another post with that error fixed. 6. The website address would not post to the website, that website had been banned. 7. A week or 2 later, I posted a message saying that if people were interested email me (I wasnt posting a direct link, people had to take the initiative themselves). I got about 4 emails an hour until the message was taken down and I was banned. 8. Wrote first email 9. Got response, but response was very harsh. 10. Didnt feel as though scott had been fair to me. 11. Responded. 12 No response back 13. Posted messages to this message board. The first time I broke their rules I didnt realize I had. The second time, I didnt realize that posting my email address was against the rules either. I am not sure how I can make this any clearer. I DID NOT DELIBERATELY BREAK ANY OF THEIR RULES. I understand your point of view, and I think what you said is valid. My underlying goal is not to be the boss of a big website or anything like that. As a saab owner, I want to have a place that I can go to get well organized information about subjects I am interested in. I am sure many other people feel the same way. I am deeply sorry if I offended you by posting the correspondence between saabnet and saab.pintmaster.com. -Colin davehinznopsamcop.net wrote: > Someone who looks an awful lot like cn <nonenopsam.com> wrote: > >>I'll post a copy of our correspondence. > > > Hm.
