Subject: Re: high speed handlind in '92 900i

I own a '87 900 T8 and i must say it is very stable, also at high speeds. I tried it a few times with 160+ (in Holland, i know it is risky, but i got away with it) and the car handles as if i am driving normal speeds (normal for the Dutch, that is..). Differences with your car: Light alloy rims, tyres are 185/65 15" Michelins, gas shocks all around and the air flow set, which includes the so-called whale tail. This car is stock as well. I would suggest to start off with probably the tyres and rear shocks as they have most influence. Athough i must admit, i have no experience with Pirelli's. Anyone out there who does??? Adding a rear trim (rear spoiler as we use to call them), should your car not have one, would help too to get more downward pressure at the rear. BTW, are your wheels properly balanced, and do you notice wind forces at the rear or at the front? Hope this helps. regards, Johan "robobass" <lostfrom68jaynopsamo.com> wrote in message news:ec311425.0209110341.66f11383nopsaming.google.com... > I just bought a beautiful '92 900i (I live in northern Germany, that > is basically a 900s, but with steel wheels. no turbo, 195-60 15" > p-6000s.
