If you are really thinking of buying the car, i would try to get some warranty of the dealer. Maybe you can negotiate with him that in case of high oil consumption, you get your money back. I personally wouldn't worry too much, but i thought i mention it, as you have a right to know, in my view. Anyway, i am very happy with the car and will go for the new 9-3 with the 2.2. TiD, there is no doubt in my mind. Wish you good luck in taking some difficult decisions...
