1st I'd pay some serious attention to the brake master cylinder, I personally would favour a fault with the seals/pistons in there. The other thing that springs to mind is to replace the flexible rubber hoses throughout the system, *internal* breakup of the walls would have a "valve" affect, thus limiting fluid under certain circumstances. It might be worth your while removing the bleed nipples and flushing the entire system to ensure that no particles of rubber from a hose break up are lodged in the system and blanking off fluid too. I've seen this on a Volvo once, and it was a right pain to find the fault. Small pieces of rubber were scattered through the braking system from the hose breakup. Either way I would be very careful about driving the car even though its gone a year, If someone pulls out in front of you and you slap the brakes on.............
