If you think it is "unsafe" that is your opinion. I have never known anybody to have an ignition key problem in any car. Having driven cars with ignition in the steering column, dash, and console I kind of prefer the console. Then again I don't normally eat or drink in the car since I prefer to drive. I also keep the car relatively clean. why don't you drop the troll bit and let life go on?
